              • ‘Warm’ (45°C/113°F) Chameleon 3D Ink changes color to white when exposed to temperatures greater than 45°C or 113°F.
              • ‘Touch’ (30°C/86°F) Chameleon 3D Ink changes color to white when exposed to temperatures greater than 30°C or 86°F. The heat from your hands will generally reach these temperatures.

Tough offers unprecedented utility for 3D printing due to its strength and controlled amount of flexibility. When compared to traditional filaments which have a fraction of the bond strength and are typically brittle when printed, Tough 3D Ink is bonded at full strength, allowing you to print longer-lasting objects. Tough is great for medium and large models that need to hold up in the real world or need lots of give, but is not ideal for extremely small features or overhangs.

It can be used as a support material with dual extruding 3D printers, and even as a standalone filament. Most PVAs on the market need to be kept in storage containers with low or no humidity. PVA is degradable, dissolves quickly in water, and allows for complex designs where removing support material manually would otherwise be difficult or impossible.                 ASA 3D Ink® is acrylonitrile styrene acrylate; a material that has comparable physical properties to ABS, but with an increased density. ASA has great toughness, rigidity and thermal stability, good chemical and weather resistance, as well as an outstanding resistance to aging and yellowing. ASA is great for medium and large prints, but is not ideal for extremely small models and features. This filament is best for printing parts that will be used outdoors or in industrial applications due to its UV and chemical resistant properties.

                                        ABS-R 3D Ink® is a proprietary blend made exclusively by M3D and it is a non-toxic biodegradable thermoplastic. ABS-R is an ABS replacement filament for engineering needs. It has increased bonding and lower warp, and does not require a heated print bed, making it a more accessible alternative while still offering the same capabilities of ABS. ABS-R is great for professional engineering where parts need to be machined or have complex overhangs and need to have just a little give.

                                        Technical Specifications:

                                        • Filament Diameter: 1.75mm (not chipped, can be used with almost all 3D printers). The 3-letter code printed on the spool will automatically set the correct extrusion temperature in the M3D software.
                                        • Recommended Extrusion Temperature: 215 - 235°C
                                        • Recommended Heated Print Bed Temperature: 87 - 105°C
                                        • Recommended Build Surfaces: painter's tape, glue stick
                                        • Other Printer Requirements: heated bed, part cooling fan

                                        Pro Tip:

                                        To prevent clogged nozzles when changing between filaments, we suggest having separate nozzles when using Carbon Fiber and ABS-R lines of filament. Why? Due to the different heat requirements and material properties of these higher-temp, particle-filled filaments, it becomes difficult for softer, lower-temp filaments like PLA and Tough to completely push out Carbon Fiber and ABS-R from the nozzle.
